According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, certainty is the quality or state of being certain especially on the basis of evidence. It is a fact about which there is no doubt. But the thing is, is it ever possible to be absolutely certain about something? If we think about it, even the things we were taught from the beginning has it's own uncertainty. Also, the things we use to measure has uncertainties. Science itself even has uncertainties. So can we really be a hundred percent sure about something? I have heard lots of people saying that nothing has an absolute certainty because nothing is permanent in this world. That everything in nature is just temporary and has it's end. And I do agree with that but not the part where nothing has an absolute certainty because based on that reasoning,  I realized that the two things we all can be certain of is change and death. McDonald's is known for making happy and cute advertisements and this particular ad shows both. I think the intended audience for this ad is everyone but more specifically those who buys food from fast food restaurants. Ethos: - The ad showed a variety of customers. There were customers from different age groups and I think this shows that anyone, despite their age or gender, will enjoy the food that they'll serve. - They also included the employees of the restaurant. They showed how they all worked together to serve the customers and this can convince the audience to buy from the restaurant because usually, customers would prefer to go to a restaurant with good service. Pathos: - The background music they chose was very upbeat and lively so I think the emotion they're trying to convey with this is happiness. - The whole ad also showed how everyone was smiling and having fun. Translated texts or novels aren’t as “hyped”, as kids in our generation would say, compared to the usual English novels. This may be due to the fact that translated texts were never seen or put out in the society as the type of books people should read or be focusing on. If you look it up, translated novels aren’t given much recognition compared to other types of novels despite the number of amazing reviews and comments on some of them. Truth is, some people would prefer reading books they know they can relate to instead of books that would open up a new world and a new perspective on things they’ve never experienced which translated books does.
